I suppose I forgot to mention that I gave up World of Warcraft. I did so back in July, actually, after two back-to-back decisions Blizzard made that I can describe in a word no less than retarded. In brief, not only did Blizzard decide to give the unique classes to both factions (making them un-unique), but then Blizzard decided to revamp the PvP ranking system. Not only does this mean that I could have not rolled two factions and kept my characters together, but it also means that everyone who put in hundreds and hundreds of hours PvPing wasted their precious time thanks to the upcoming system. This is all on top of the other lore changes that Blizzard decided to make, in a rather George-Lucas manner.
It’s not the first time Blizzard decided to casually fuck their existing playerbase who just happened to roll characters in a reasonable way at the time, but then Blizzard offers no out for those who got fucked. It’s like raping a schoolgirl and refusing to let her get therapy afterwards.
Suffice to say, for those who haven’t realized the obvious, my decision to get my life back means that mendax.wow is dead. Fortunately for you suckers, Maxator and his gang of Greasy Goons still support InsomniMax, which I understand has a steady, albeit small, following. Since Maxator and his gang remain avid players of the most popular MMORPG out there, I expect his UI suite to remain kicking a decent while longer, which is good news for those of you looking foreward to the upcoming World of Warcraft expansion.
For me and the other refugees, there’s still Diablo 2, which requires a much smaller time footprint to play, and embodies the essence of what makes WoW popular today. Plus, like retards in WoW, it’s available everywhere.
