Nintendo “Flipper” production ramps up.

Nintendo has reported that NEC is ramping up production of the “Flipper” chip for their upcoming GameCube console. Of the three next-gen consoles, this is the one that has me most excited, because Nintendo carries most of my favorite titles. Anyways, back to the subject. EETimes reports that Nintendo is looking to avoid the same supply problems that Sony had with the release of the PS2.

Unfortunately, Nintendo is being very sketchy when it comes to publishing pricing info or release titles.
